This year, with the theme of “We are the SAME: Sensitivity, Accessibility, Multiplicity, and Equality,” we are excited to announce that The Fifth Social Good Festival will be launched soon, which will last from September 13th to September 26th.
With the vigorous support of The Office of Student Affairs, The Fifth Social Good Festival is hosted by The Social Practice Center. For 2021, The Social Good Festival’s activities will be divided into three layers: comprehension, experience and co-creation, each addresses diverse meanings. The purpose of this year’s Social Good Festival aims to make the concept of “barrier-free” exposed to more people, lead people to jointly perceive the diversity of the way that human beings interact with the world, and contemplate the degree of social convenience and the possibility of improving social well-being.
If you observe carefully, there may be different obstacles in each person’s life. The obstacle in the narrow definition refers to physical disability. We would like to extend this concept in a broader sense. The obstacles may also refer to communication obstacles, social barriers, self-confidence barriers, barriers to actively expressing love, etc. We firmly believe that co-creating and promoting the establishment of barrier-free campus and urban city environment attaches great significance to everyone’s life.
Focusing on the theme of SAME, with each letter carries a different meaning, we will assist students with deeper understanding through knowledge sharing, exhibition or workshop, etc. Through immersive experiences and other activities, students will be guided to experience and reflect on the setbacks encountered in diversified group life. We look forward to co-create, take action, and promote barrier-free campus and city together.
The Event Calendar of The Fifth Social Good Festival:
Duration: September 13th to September 26th, 2021 (Due to the dynamic of various projects this year, The Social Good Festival has been extend to a fortnight program).
Date of The Opening Ceremony: Monday, September 13th, 17:00-18:00 (Please stay updated to the follow-up emails for the registration information)

In September, we are looking forward to meeting old friends and new faces, and to jointly co-creating a barrier-free environment on our campus.
亲爱的老师、同学们：
社会实践中心将于9月13日至9月26日期间举办以“We are the SAME：感知·无碍·多元·平等”为主题的香港中文大学（深圳）第五届公益文化周活动。
本届公益文化周在香港中文大学（深圳）学生事务处的支持下，由社会实践中心主办。公益周活动分为“认识”、“体验”、“共创”三个层次，旨在“无障碍”这一概念得到更多关注的今天，带领大家共同感知人类感知接触世界方式的多元性，思考社会便利程度和社会福祉提升的可能性。
你若细心观察，每个人的生命和生活当中可能存在着不同方面的障碍，狭义上的障碍或许只是身体残疾性的障碍，但我们想从广义上去延伸和拓展这个概念，障碍还可能是交流障碍，社交障碍，自信障碍，主动表达爱的障碍等等，我们坚信共同创建和推动无障碍校园与城市的环境建设，是与每个生命息息相关的。
围绕“SAME”这一主题，我们将通过知识分享、展览、讲座等形式，帮助同学们尝试感知（Sensitivity）“障碍”的深层含义与平等（Equality）理念；通过沉浸式体验等活动，引导同学们体验并反思多元（Multiplicity）群体生活中遇见的障碍；从而达到集思广益，携手共创的意义。
活动时间：
l 公益文化周活动：9月13日-9月26日 （由于众多项目参与，今年的公益周特别延长为双周活动）
l 公益文化周开幕式：9月13日17:00-18:00（星期一）
