Graduation Tree-Planting Forest--South Lawn of Student Centre (facing Shaw College)
Where do you want to dig dig a hole? Plant many many trees for the flowers to
grow. It's the time for us to "dig dig a hole in the large large garden, plant a big big
tree".
To celebrate and honor the graduates of CUHK-Shenzhen for 2023, we are
delighted to announce that the Sixth Graduation Tree-Planting Ceremony will be
held on May 18, 2023.
This year, we are going to plant the tree of Brachychiton acerifolius (or Frame
Tree), which symbolizes pride, hope, and happiness. As the sun breaks through
the clouds, the Brachychiton acerifolius erupts into flames. Vibrant colors proclaim
aloud, "Into blazing flame we united, into shining stars we parted." With its petals
resembling butterflies, we hope the tree spreads hope and courage in our
graduates’ future life.

· 16:00 – 16:30 Event Registration, photo-taking, and collecting wind-bell
· 16:30 – 17:00 Tree-planting Ceremony
· 17:20 – 19:20 Lawn & Yawn Concert (no registration required)
Special Interaction: Echoing Wood 2.0 is Back to Connect New and Old Friends on Campus!
Starting from May 12, the echoing wood is open to all students. Please click on the
following link to let us hear your voice. On the day of the event, the questionnaire
results will be displayed near the graduation tree-planting forest and shared with
students.
