community building and sustainable development are relatively mature.
In this Fun Learning Plan project, we will go to Mei Ho House and explore the
community through scavenger hunt, follow the footsteps of tour guides to learn
about cultural revitalization in the Blue House cluster, and ride the special vehicle
"MobileICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage) " from The Conservancy Association
Centre for Heritage (CACHe) to understand Hong Kong's intangible cultural
heritage. We will learn how Hong Kong utilize cultural conservation to revitalize
the community and achieve sustainable practice.
We look forward to experiencing the practice of revitalizing Hong Kong in person
with you and exploring new possibilities of social good. Let's think and act, and
return with fruitful results.
The Blue House is a historic cultural district in the Kowloon City district of Hong
Kong. It has become one of the most complete historical communities preserved
in Hong Kong and an important venue for community cultural activities. The Blue
House cluster is committed to being a people-oriented conservation and
revitalization demonstration. In order to enable the public to deeply understand
the Blue House cluster and the WE Ha Blue House revitalization plan, the tour
guide will lead the participants to introduce the history of the Blue House cluster,
the living conditions of the grassroots in Wan Chai, and how the plan repaired the
community.
CACHe: CACHe (Culture and Heritage Exploration) is committed to promoting
Hong Kong's historical and cultural heritage, establishing a knowledge exchange
platform, encouraging the public to participate in community cultural heritage
conservation, and establishing community identity. In the morning, we will go to
Sham Shui Po and Mei Ho House to observe the most beautiful and
authentic side of Sham Shui Po while playing. The "Jockey Club Cultural Heritage
Project @ Mei Ho House" project is centered around Mei Ho House, the only
preserved public housing building in the first generation, and connects surrounding
communities through a series of outreach cultural activities to explore the history
and development of Sham Shui Po, review the lives of the neighbors, and promote
cultural conservation. In the afternoon, we will also visit the intangible cultural
heritage vehicle launched by CACHe recently - "Mobile ICH ", which has exhibitions
and interactive facilities covering various cultural traditions in daily life, including
language, music, dance, as well as folk knowledge, festive customs and
handicrafts, etc., hoping to bring different non-legacy projects closer to the public.
