- Notice about On-campus Students’ Labor Day Holiday Destination Declaration
Dear Students,
Following the email sent by President’s Office on April 28, the arrangements regarding the application for leaving campus are as below:
1. All students are strongly recommended to stay in Shenzhen for the Labor Day holiday. It is strictly forbidden to visit medium- or high-risk areas, particularly the ones (county, district, city) with new local covid-19 cases within 14 days. If under special circumstances of leaving Shenzhen, students are required to submit a prior application. A destination declaration must be submitted for students to leave campus but not leave Shenzhen.
2. Apply for outbound travel from Shenzhen:
Please log into i.cuhk.edu.cn and submit a leave application to your administrative department (Colleges/SMBU Office/Li Wen Hall/Graduate Programs) before 11:59 on April 29. Thereafter, the system will be closed. Entry/exit campus will be permitted only to those with approval .
- Students must submit the Campus Access Application at least one day in advance to return to campus. Students returning from medium/high-risk regions will be subject to strict COVID prevention and control measures.【If an asterisk sign * is shown on the travelers’ (including their cohabitants) Travel Card (a digital travel record miniapp on wechat), the student will need to undergo home health monitoring for FIVE days and daily nucleic acid tests for FIVE days before returning to campus, while the others with no asterisk sign * on the Travel Card will face a three-day home health monitoring and daily nucleic acid tests for three consecutive days.】
- A negative nucleic acid test result of 2 days or 4 days before returning to campus, travel code and health code shall be provided for application. All students returning to the University after holiday must present either a negative 24-hour nucleic acid test result or a negative 48-hour nucleic acid test result plus a record of a nucleic acid test taken within 24 hours. Students who returned from outside of Shenzhen shall provide relation materials including cohabitants’ health code and travel code.
3. Apply for Leaving Campus but NOT Leaving Shenzhen:
Please log into i.cuhk.edu.cn and submit a destination declaration to your management department (Colleges/SMBU Office/Li Wen Hall/Graduate Programs) starting from 0:00 on April 30. Only application after the designated time will be effective. Please note that the declaration is applicable to campus exit and entry only during the Labor Day holiday. Students will be able to enter and exit from campus with the declaration interface, travel code, health code, and negative nucleic test result within 24 hours (or negative nucleic test result within 48 hours and record taken within 24 hours). LWH Students who still stay in Shenzhen shall follow with the current regulations.
4. As per the local government’s requirements, it will trace up to 14 days before the onset of pandemic under the tightening control and prevention measures. Individuals shall bear all responsibilities and costs incurred if leaving Shenzhen without approval.
5. In consideration of the changing and unpredictable pandemic situation, please pay close attention to the local prevention and control regulations and ensure you will be able to take the upcoming final exams in-person.
