To celebrate and honor all the graduates of CUHK-Shenzhen, we are proud to announce “Meet the Challenge of Covid-19 and March Forward” Graduation Tree-Planting Ceremony will be held on 29 May, 2020. We are going to plant the Flame tree together with graduate students this year, which carries the meaning of farewell, yearning as well as fiery youth.

Event Description

To celebrate and honor the first official graduate class of CUHK-ShenZhen, since 2018, the University has started the tree-planting ceremony along with graduates hand-in-hand annually. Tree planting not only protects the earth’s ecological civilization, but also symbolizes the significant nurturing spirit of the University.

In 2018, we had the Ginko tree, which represents tenacity and composure; In 2019, we had the Areca Kapok, which represents cherish the surrounding people and cherish the happiness in front of you; This year of 2020, we are going to plant the Flame tree, it carries the meaning of farewell, yearning as well as fiery youth.
