Have you ever observed the surroundings and public facilities around our city while you are roaming the street?

Have you ever noticed the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) facilities while you are in the airport or train station?

With regards to the barrier-free lifting platform of the corridor, the barrier-free ramp of the flyover, these facilities might seem to be far away from our life, so we often ignore them. With the launch of the "Urban Family Simulator," we will be able to recognize these barrier-free facilities through some fun-filled activities.

In this city exploration, you will be given a role, enter a simulative family, and experience the "obstacles" in daily life. You may act the role as mother, father, children, or even grandparents. You will experience half a day of designed turmoil to realize the importance of barrier-free facilities in the city. You will explore parks and shopping malls, receive team tasks, interact with NPCs played by students, and fulfill hidden personal tasks.

Most importantly, you will experience the inconveniences in daily life and see the importance of barrier-free facilities to every citizen. Through the experience of yourself, you will explore what we can do to establish a better barrier-free city. Whether you like profound city explorations or fun role-play activities, this event may suit you well.

Activity Information:

This activity consists of role-playing and task completion. Participants will form several teams, and each team member is randomly assigned to certain roles in a modern family. The tasks that each individual receives will depend on the age and characteristics of their role.

Each group of "family" will utilize one form of public transportation (bus or subway) to meet at Longcheng Plaza. Then “families” will observe and experience the actual use of barrier-free facilities (including but not limited to public toilets, washstands in the park, nursing rooms, barrier-free elevators, etc.) by visiting nearby parks and shopping malls.

During this event, NPCs will release tasks simultaneously. After this activity, there is also a discussion session for participants to share their observations and exchange thoughts on barrier-free facilities after this activity. Participants will also receive cafeteria coupons worth 40RMB and gifts from Social Practice Centre.
