Activities-Stay At Home online (Co-reading project)

2020.02.10

On February 10th, the Office of Student Affairs set up 6 online interest groups involving the six aspects of reading, English, fitness, cooking, film and art. Students could take part in the activities by clocking in. In the process, interest groups reward their participants according to their respective credit leaderboard and activeness. Until June, about 600 students participated and over 50 of them received rewards. Among these activities, the first "co-reading" project started on March 6th. The project calls for everyone to put their time into use, namely by reading: divide a book into 10 days' amount and read 30 books a year. The genres are of a wide range, including but not limited to: popular science, classics, science fictions and bestsellers. The project is currently in its sixth stage and students have completed the reading of 8 books, including Has Man a Future, Exhalation: Stories, Educated: A Memoir. So far, 80 students have participated in reading together. Students participating in the activities enjoy themselves, do exercises and get to know new people. Stay At Home online allows us to keep close despite the physical distance.
